| Job Description
– The job holder will be one of a
team of analysts assessing the creditworthiness
of European managed hedge funds. Further
responsibilities include the negotiation
of legal documentation; assessing appropriate
trade and counterparty collateral levels;
monitoring fund performance and risk profile;
monitoring and reporting credit exposures.
The job holder will report to one of the
team credit officers but would be expected
to be able to take on credit authority in
due course.
CLIENT
– The job holder will be required
to take account of business concerns while
ensuring proper application of risk control
principles. Decisions will need to be communicated
clearly and effectively in order to ensure
appropriate mutual respect The jobholder
will also need to liaise with, and make
links between, different areas/departments
in order to ensure proper teamwork and the
implementation of appropriate controls.
PEOPLE
– The job holder will be required
to be flexible and timely in responding
to client and team demands, plus be focussed
on delivery of results.
ECONOMIC
– The job holder will need to demonstrate
strong analytical skills and good judgement.
Recommendations will need to be communicated
clearly and effectively. Knowledge and experience
will need to be passed on to other team
members to the benefit of the wider team
FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL
– Experience of hedge funds is a plus
though not required; market risk and/or
quantitative risk background and knowledge
of trading products is desirable.
