Primary Responsibilities/Function :
The FIRC IT organisation global Fixed Income,
Rates and Currencies business in the Investment
Bank. The role of IT is to deliver valuable and
cost-effective IT solutions to the business,
to cater for its tactical and strategic technology
needs. Strategic solutions are delivered through
large-scale projects, often global in scope and
regional in implementation. Tactical solutions
are delivered through a process of desktop development,
where applications are built using established
methodologies and technologies to deliver client
value quickly and efficiently.
The Structured LIBOR Derivatives business in
APAC has a business proposal (details of which
cannot be documented here for confidentiality
purposes) which will be based out of Hong Kong
and will require a full-scale IT implementation
leveraging web-technologies (please see Additional
Requirements section).
The candidate will have to work closely with
the other IT team members, managers and infrastructure
groups located in Zurich, London and other sites
in APAC like Tokyo.
Requirements
Essential
Graduate Degree in Computer Science or IT
Level of Experience :
2 – 5 years Worked on eCommerce portals.
Languages :
Mandarin and English
Spoken and Written for both
Mobility required (travel/relocation) :
Occasional travel within and outside the region.
Additional Requirements (including skills, product/process
knowledge & business/technical expertise
etc)
Important technical skills :
This role will require skills in HTML best practices
(W3C Guidelines), CSS, JavaScript, visual design.
Skills in XML, XSLT, and/or JSP would be an added
advantage.
The candidate should have experience of producing
HTML which is suitable for easy integration into
web application, and implementing multi-lingual
web applications.
The responsibilities of this role will include
web page design, HTML coding, stylesheet coding.
Important soft-skills :
Basic knowledge of structured products/fixed
income would be a considerable advantage.
