Job Overview / Purpose
The management of the pre-contract management,
post-contract management and governance functions
across the complete PRS business cycle. Control
and manage any unnecessary and/or unapproved
contract and legal risk. Enable improvements
in business performance and effectiveness.
Accountabilities & Performance Indicators
Managing Contract & Legal Risk and
Governance Programme
Provide management information at PRS Board level
reporting any contractual and legal exposure
to manage and mitigate unnecessary risk.

Attendance at country, regional and corporate
risk and approval forums

Availability of up-to-date information
Contract Negotiations with Customer / Suppliers
Lead contractual / legal negotiations with suppliers
/ customers on major opportunities

Contract Management Tools
Provide standard contract tools to the business
designed to mitigate risk, to comply with risk
and contract management policy and enable business
performance.

Annual feedback from PRS Board

Awareness & Training
Provision of contract management education, skills
and techniques on behalf of all areas of the
business to mitigate unnecessary contract and
legal risk.

Cost Centre Management
Manage, monitor and review functional cost centre(s)
to comply with budgets and quality expectations.

Personnel & Resource Management
Setting clear objectives, devising and communicating
strategy, recruitment, performance management,
building team dynamics, carrying out 1:1’s
with the PRS Contract Management team to ensure
that it functions as a cohesive high performing
unit which achieves the targets and objectives
set by the Company.

Key Skills, Knowledge and Level
·
10 years minimum experience in a senior commercial
role within a comparable services/outsourcing
environment including Marketing/Account Management
experience
·
Acceptable qualification and practitioner competence
in contract law and its application to commercial
agreements
·
Experience in financial evaluation and reporting
·
Experience of managing multi disciplinary teams
·
Experience in closing contracts and formal management
of contract claims impacting on size and stability
of multi million pound businesses
