Position: Client Connectivity Deployment Manager
Requirements:

Position Summary
The position is for a deployment manager in Deployment and Testing team in Equities Client Facing Technology. The team is responsible for implementation of new FIX connections with new clients who will do electronic trading business in Equities Cash and Futures Options with our client in Asia Pacific region. The team has currently 5 people located in Tokyo, Hong Kong and India. The team responsibility includes setting up new connections in production, testing with clients, and second line production support.

The candidate will be managing the team. The candidate will be working closely with Equities business groups in the region as well as other IT teams in Client Facing Technology globally. The candidate must be a team player with good client orientation, and needs to have excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, and problems solving skills among IT skills such as FIX, UNIX/Linux, Database, Network, and also knowledge of Equity Electronic Trading. As the team needs to be restructured in order to significantly increase the performance of processing new connection requests, the candidate should have strong leadership and team building skills as well.

Primary Responsibilities/Function:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

• 5 – 10 years of experience in Equities IT.
• Experience in managing a team of 3 or larger for more than 2 years.
• Experience in supporting real-time transaction systems in the financial industry, preferably in Equities Trading.
• Experience in project management .
• Working knowledge of the FIX protocol and practical issues surrounding its use.
• Working knowledge of order state handling for Equities.
• Expertise with Unix and/or Linux environment, preferably Solaris 8 or later / Red Hat. Hand-on skills in Shell scripts.
• Experience in RDBM systems such as Oracle and/or Sybase and SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to explain concepts and ideas clearly and concisely to both business and development personnel.
• Strong leadership and team building skills.

Optional Requirements:

• Experience in network technology.
• Experience in system administration.
• Business level Japanese language skills.
• Experience in application development projects
• Experience in programming in C++, Java or C#.

Essential

• Reputable University Degree
• English (Business)
• Japanese (Basic)

Regional travel twice a year and US and/or UK travel once a year.
