Position: Project Manager - Prime Brokerage IT
Requirements:

Job Function
This role is reporting to the Prime Brokerage Custody Project Manager. It consists of leading a team that will implement change to the Custody system. The role requires a very strong team player who is a self motivated completer/finisher with a delivery track record on change projects.

Job Requirements

Discovery
• Works with the project’s Sponsor, who may be the owning Programme Manager, to understand the business strategy and requirements, expected benefits, context and critical success factors.
• Produces an initial “Terms of Reference” to confirm what the project aims to achieve.
• Identifies options for the project approach; weighs up their comparative benefits, time, costs, risks and quality implications and recommends the most appropriate solution.
• Identifies required roles, defines project organisation and manages the physical environment of the project.
• Ensures that the project has an effective governance structure.
• If the project is part of a programme, then the programme may determine some of the above.

Structuring
• Initiates project planning and agrees the priority of the project (e.g. priority within an owning programme).
• Details the overall project approach and confirms the agreed scope of the solution.
• Is responsible for planning the project throughout its lifecycle. Identifies the project’s key dependencies.
• Defines management and control processes including status reporting, issue and scope management.

Solutions Creation
• Selects and mobilises the human and other resources required to implement the project.
• Tasks and motivates staff working on the project. Manages the solution creation process.
• Monitors the project against its time, cost, scope and quality criteria and reports progress to the Sponsor.
• Maintains a dialogue with key stakeholders and ensures communication with others.

Delivery
• Ensures users/stakeholders are prepared to use the created solution.
• Follows a delivery plan to ensure the solution is transferred to the client.
• Closes the project once the solution has been delivered and conducts reviews of the outcome.
