The Public Sector Performance Improvement Consulting
Practice based in Scotland is looking to recruit
a number of Senior Enterprise /Technical Architects
to join an already successful team to deliver
client advice and implementation support to
the Scottish Public Sector. Excellent opportunities
exist at various levels in the company for
individuals who are genuinely interested in
expanding their horizons and wish to work in
a challenging and leading edge environment.
You will take on solution assurance and design
roles that will involve the analysis of ‘as
is’ business operations, the identification
and assessment of improvement opportunities
especially in delivering IT services to the
business, IT Architecture and Strategy and
selection and sourcing in an IT context. The
majority of your time will be spent operating
as part of engagement team and you will also
have a role to develop and sell-on business
working with the sector account team.

Requirements
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate
a proven track record in some or all of the
following:
Skills / Experience
Assessment of IT operations and delivery capability,
recommending IT service improvements that result
to large scale transformation programmes Design
and deliver an organisational business / IT architecture
and strategy aligned to the business strategy
Advising on the management of the procurement
of IT services and products Using architectural
models and standards to deliver linked business,
information, and technology views of business
problems, including service-oriented architecture
Experience of technologies such as middleware,
integration tools, ERP, portals, mobile solutions
and IT infrastructure (networking / communications,
servers, storage, etc.) Implementing e-enabled
business operations Building the leadership teams
and organisation structures that are needed to
cost effectively operate and manage IT Integration
of IT capabilities with an overall business strategy
As well as technical knowledge and experience,
you must be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal
skills, commercial acumen and ability to thrive

Responsibilities
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate

The Individual
Individuals should be able to demonstrate an
outstanding delivery track record of success
within public sector engagements, ideally within
the Scottish NHS, Local and Central Government
Sectors and Agencies.
Candidates should have experience and skills
in the area of supporting and advancing business
objectives through the delivery of effective
Information Technology (IT). You will be assigned
to client facing roles, and will lead teams that
design and implement strategic business solutions
with the firm’s Scottish Government and
Public Sector clients. You will focus on quality
and integrity in relationship management and
service delivery.
Suitable individuals will ideally have :
A public sector consulting background and be
active in the Scottish NHS, Local or Central
Government business community with a good range
of contacts Previous experience of delivering
consultancy and implementation support services
to the Public Sector Demonstrable ability to
gain trusted advisor status with clients , helping
to develop relationships into longer term partnerships
and large scale assignments Worked up to management
level or equivalent, in NHS, Local or Central
Government A good understanding of Scottish Government,
Efficient/Modernising Government and Public Sector
drivers for change and current political direction
Awareness of the technology issues which arise
from current issues impacting on the Public Sector
Experience in the Scottish Financial Services
and Energy and Utilities sectors would also be
valued
